For those of you who are members of my email list, be prepared for another exciting edition of The Kostronicle to pound into your inbox in the next couple of days. For those of you who are not members, you ought be to ashamed of yourselves. Join my email list above (green box) and every 6-8 weeks you’ll get updates on shows, videos, happenings and more exciting Kosta news. Plus it’s one hell of a great way to procrastinate at work.
Last week I had a show at Moondoggies in Pacific Beach, CA. As always, the Kosta crew ran deep. Below is a photo of just some of the support (watch the video below to see why it’s good that they were there).
I was very appreciative of all the support that came out for my Moondoggies show. Here are just a few. Thank you!
This was a classic bar show, full of drunk and hostile people. At one point I almost got beat up by a drunk religious guy who came on stage. Him and his religious buddies were heckling me the whole show chanting “Jesus! Jesus!” and when I finally told them to shut up, one of them came on stage and threatened me. If the bouncer wasn’t there I may have become another victim to the religious extreme. Take a look at the video that I had of the event. You can hear me ask for the bouncer as the guy is approaching the stage, never a good sign at a bar show.

Also, I’ve been getting a lot of great feedback about the Prince videos we shot at the US Open. Below is one more. Feel free to watch all of them here.
Kosta tours the grounds, 2008 US Open, New York City
Last week I had the opportunity to travel to New York City with Prince Sports and crash the 2008 US Open. Considering this tournament eluded me in my remarkable tennis career it was a real honor to be there, even if it was as a comedian.
There are lots more videos to come but here is one that was recently uploaded. Eventually you can check out all six videos by visiting Prince Sports on Facebook here or their YouTube page here.

This week I’m in New York City at the US Open doing some comedy-on-the-street video for Prince Sports. Check back for photos from that great event.
Last week I was at Morty’s Comedy Joint in Indianapolis. Always great to return to one of my favorite clubs and many thanks to all my Indy fans who continually show up and show their support. They, obviously, recognize genius.
Before we had sex.
Driving go carts in Indy. I won.

Last night, I had the chance to host the birthday party of musician Topher Mohr at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. Topher rocked the house, as did Michelle Shaprow and fellow Ann Arborites NowOn. Take a look:

Kostonians,
Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I’ve been too busy winning.
I recently performed on a really fun show in Los Angeles called Twelve Shiny Nickels. 12 comedians, 5 minutes each, and $5 gets you all-you-can-drink beer. This led to some nonsense which was videotaped below. (Photos and more news down further):

Just like last year, these ladies have been coming to the Thursday night shows for 15 straight years. This year was the first with a walker though.
A hot blond and a member of Penis Philbin showing some Kosta love.
It’s been a busy and productive summer. I recently had the chance to work with some comedians who make a lot more money than I do. They are pictured below.

The response to “Gian-Carlo Gian-Carlo” has been tremendous. I’ve been getting so many emails and calls about him that I refuse to take down the video. Here it is:
As we all get ready for a nice holiday break (MichaelKosta.com will be taking a break as well), please take a moment and view “Awesome Tennis Skill with Gian-Carlo Carlo“. Produced by Mike and Chris Farah of 3,4 Women Productions starring former World Champion Gian-Carlo Gian-Carlo. After the Holiday this video will be going directly to advertisers.
Enjoy:

Recently in LA, I was fortunate enough to be a “Celebrity Judge” for Playboy Radio’s Topless Pillow Fighting. I use the word “celebrity” loosely however the other judge was Mayhem from American Gladiators. Check out some of these shots:
During a topless pillow fight. I’ve got a lot more photos but I’m not sure my web server would allow publication.
Hostess Andrea interviewing the contestants. Video can be seen soon at www.Playboy.com

Currently I’m working on a bunch of different and exciting things, one of which is shown below. I partnered up with some local producers to create “Gian-Carlo Gian-Carlo” a tennis teacher/lover/champion. I’ll make sure to post the videos when they are back from editing. I was also asked to compete with another comedian in “Make A Hot Girl Laugh” for www.Comedy.com. That video will air in a month or two and I’ll make sure to post it.
Last week I spoke at my Alma Mater, University of Illinois, as part of Grad Week. It was so much fun to be back in Champaign. I may have even gotten drunk at Kams. Go Illini!
More photos below, enjoy:
