Game, Set, Match - Kosta!
What’s tennis got to do with my comedy you ask? Well before becoming a comedic superstar I dabbled in the sport. I even played on the professional tour. Someday I hope to find the perfect balance by hosting a TV show that incorporates both tennis and comedy (working on that project now).
World #1 and Maria Sharapova outside Hermosa Beach Comedy & Magic Club after a show.
Hosting the Todd Martin charity pro-am, shown here with Todd and Aaron Krickstein
Here’s a recap of some of my accomplishments as a tennis player (there are many so brace yourself):
- Competed for three years on the ATP tour earning world ranking of top 900 in singles and top 350 in doubles. Won four ITF doubles titles.
- Authored 101 Tips For Winning More Tennis Matches (Coaches Choice Publication) a “easy to use” instructional book for the competitive player. Endorsements for the book include Todd Martin, Mardy Fish, Amer Delic and many of the games top coaches. For more info check out:
- I played four years of college tennis at the University of Illinois where we won four Big Ten Championships and were ranked number one in the NCAA. While earning a degree in speech communication (what else?) I also established myself as one of the nations’ top collegiate singles and doubles players. To this day, I am the only Fighting Illinis tennis player to ever go undefeated while playing indoors, on Saturdays in February.
- Two time Michigan High School State Champion at the #1 singles position in the highest division. Ann Arbor Huron High School (the River Rats).
- I also worked two years as Assistant Men's Tennis Coach at the University of Michigan.
- I am a PTR certified teaching professional as well as a Level 1 USTA High Performance Graduate.
- To this day, I still look really good in the tight white Bjorn Borg shorts, however I have not won Wimbledon five times (yet).
After a victory against VCU in Athens, GA. I, actually, never lost.
Notes: I wonder what jokes I should tell tonight?
